As a BI project manager, you should also be aware if any team member has a problem with the underperformance of a fellow team member.
However, rather than going to that person directly with the problem, they come to you or another third party instead. What makes this a real issue is that the person in conflict goes to anyone who will listen, be it, friend, family member, or yourself.
What you need to do is have the two parties work out their differences face-to-face. Failure to do this results in the tendency toward gossip within the team and negativity that affects how the team works.
With the BI project teams, there are also legacy BI teams who need to come into play. It is necessity for both sets of teams to work together in a positive manner. Good relationships must be built and everyone must be on board so the project is as successful as possible.
How did you manage your BI project? What aspects did you put into play to realize the most successful project possible? Were there any other things you introduced? How successful was the integration of your new and legacy BI teams?
